WHat is the job?
I'm looking for help with production to keep up with demand!
Production takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday from 10am to 4pm.
I'm also looking for help running regular market stalls & ideally this would be fulfilled by the same person because a strong understanding of, and a passion for the products is crucial in the customer-facing role.
Who would suit it?
I am looking for someone who is passionate about food & flavour, with an interest in fermenting & a love of chillies added advantages! Someone who is hard-working, eager to learn & full of energy & enthusiasm. Someone who wants to grow alongside a growing business & help develop a special brand that seeks ultimately to help fix the broken food system we have now. Third-party Food Safety Certificate courses will be offered to the successful applicant & I will personally provide any & all in-house training to get them up to speed & be confident with the jobs required.
Start date, hours & pay ?
Start date is ASAP - as soon as the right person is found. Production is 15 hours per week, market stall at least 5 hours per week depending which stall is undertaken & whether the successful applicant has use of a car or not. I pay the living wage (£10.90) per hour. Pay will be topped up for use of own car & a commission will be in place for market sales.
Where is it?
Currently, production happens in The Lab in my family home. The Lab has been awarded 5-star certification from the EHO & is fully equiped for the job at hand. The near-term goal is to grow out of The Lab & move to a commercial unit in 2023.
